FOUNDERS’ WEEK CELEBRATION
May 9 – 15, 2022

The National Pan-Hellenic Council of Northern Virginia (NoVA NPHC) is hosting an inaugural celebration in recognition of the 92nd anniversary of the National Pan-Hellenic Council, Inc., which is Tuesday, May 10, 1930. NoVA NPHC’s Founders Week Celebration will include:

Monday, May 9 – Mental Monday
7 – 9 pm EST | Virtual
Join us for a virtual conversation on the importance of mental health awareness. Conversation will be moderated by the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Northern Virginia Alumnae Chapter’s Mental Health Taskforce.

Tuesday, May 10 – Founders’ Day: Trivia with NPHC Area One
6:30 – 8:30 pm EST | Virtual
Celebrate the national NPHC Founders’ Day with a virtual trivia night with the National Pan-Hellenic Council, Inc. Area One Councils. Test your knowledge with other NPHC members to see which Area One Council will leave with bragging rights. NoVA NPHC chapters can register via Eventbrite and enter “NoVA NPHC” to be a part of our team.

Friday, May 13 – Divine Nine Happy Hour
5 – 9 pm EST | Austin Grille
Continue celebrating Founders’ Day with NoVA NPHC and its member chapters at Austin Grille. All Greeks should wear your colors, not your letters.

Saturday, May 14 – Service and Social Saturday
Bowling with the NoVA Greeks
4 – 6 pm EST | Bowl America Shirley Lanes
Let’s Strike Up Some Fun! Come out for an afternoon of fun and friendly competition with the NoVA NPHC chapters. In addition to bowling, bring an item to stuff the summer boxes for Alexandria youth- activity books, travel games, reading books, crossword puzzles, books by Black authors, etc. to create summer kits for kids. Tickets: $30/person in advance. Register via Eventbrite. All are invited.

Sunday, May 15 – Education Sunday
33rd Annual Black Scholars Awards Program
3 – 5 pm EST
NoVA NPHC will recognize the academic achievements of Northern Virginia youth at this annual event. We will also announce the recipients of our 2022 scholarship during this event. This event is open to the registered students and their limited guests. Students should check with their counselors for registration information.
