Welcome to the NoVA NPHC Website!
National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) was formed as a permanent organization on May 10, 1930 on the campus of Howard University in Washington, DC. There are 9 organizations that make up this council. Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc, Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc, Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc, Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc and Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Inc are all members of this council. Under the unifying umbrella of the NPHC, all the organizations in unity promote interaction through forums, meetings, and other mediums for the exchange of information. Additionally, NPHC engages its members in cooperative programming and initiatives through various activities and functions.
The National Pan-Hellenic Council of Northern Virginia (NoVA NPHC) was chartered in 1966 and continues to reign as a strong force in Northern Virginia. NoVA NPHC remains to be one of the most active chapters within the national council.
NoVA NPHC presently has over 15 active chapters within the Northern Virginia area, thereby representing over 1,000 active members in our Greek-lettered organizations.
The 2026 NoVA NPHC Scholarship will be available February 2026.Β Check out the Scholarship page for the application and for additional details. Once the site is available to applicants, applications are due March 29, 2026 by 11:59 pm.
